I have a fascination with the space industry and want to work with more clients in that area. Over the last few years, I have been watching well-done Netflix documentaries about SpaceX missions and some entertaining fictional programs about going to Mars. I also read the enjoyable and accessible book, “The End of the Astronauts: Why Robots are the Future of Exploration,” by Donald Goldsmith and Martin Rees, which gave me a great overview of the amazing things happening in space exploration and where we are headed in the future.
Each week I also excitedly await my space e-newsletters including the excellent Space Business by Tim Fernholz of Quartz, Axios Space by Miriam Kramer of Axios and Max Q by Aria Alamalhodaei of TechCrunch. I am grateful for how they enlighten me.
Then there are my cherished clients who have been doing interesting things with robotic arms in space, and another one with CubeSats. I continue to learn so much by leading their announcements, including a couple about SpaceWERX, a program that awards contracts to innovation partners to help solve the technology challenges of the US Space Force.
I have been building a lists of space conferences, while secretly wishing I had a huge budget to go listen to the many interesting speakers. And I have been developing space media lists.
Recently, I was rooting for the Artemis launch now that I have a have a deeper understanding of its overall importance for further exploration of distant planets, including Mars.
And I have been looking in awe at the unbelievable images from the James Webb space telescope. The images are breathtaking, and never have I felt so free and small at the same time. They move me in many ways.
As a strong believer in working on industries I am passionate about (technology, robotics, environmental sustainability, travel) I am now adding the space industry to my list. I would be extremely excited to take on more clients doing great things in the space industry.
