As a marketing communications and PR professional, I’ve had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of clients across several industries. From cutting-edge robotics startups to globally recognized corporations and environmental organizations, each project has offered a new set of challenges. Below is a look at the different sectors I’ve worked with and some of the contributions I’ve made along the way.
- Robotics and Drones
Working with robotics and drone companies has been one of the most interesting areas of my career. Whether it’s promoting new technologies for autonomous robots, robotics for space industry tasks, or driving awareness for drone-based solutions, I’ve helped my clients communicate the complexity and innovation behind these products to their audiences. I’ve developed everything from messaging and websites to media campaigns and thought leadership campaigns, helping these businesses establish credibility and attract customers in a rapidly evolving field.
- Environmental Sustainability
The urgency of addressing climate change has made this sector especially meaningful to me. I’ve worked with organizations dedicated to ocean conservation, solar energy and corporate sustainability initiatives to craft communications strategies that resonate with both stakeholders and the public. Creating compelling stories that highlight the importance of protecting the diversity of life in oceans, for now and future generations, was one challenge near and dear to me.
- Major Corporations (Microsoft, Seagate, Software AG, Washington Mutual)
I’ve also had the opportunity to support marketing communications for major global players like Microsoft, Seagate and Software AG. These corporations required a high level of strategic insight and precise messaging, whether it was for launching a a major new product, driving a company-wide initiative, or responding to industry shifts. I helped with everything from messaging to media relations and internal communications strategies, ensuring their marketing aligned with global business goals.
- Digital Marketing Companies
The digital marketing sector is fast-paced and constantly evolving. Helping these companies promote new trends, tools, and platforms was a rewarding part of my work. From brand development to thought leadership content that positioned them as industry leaders, I’ve worked alongside some of the most forward-thinking teams to drive impactful communications.
- Travel
The travel industry offers fun challenges, requiring a balance of creative storytelling with strategic marketing. With Holland America Line, Seabourn and others, I helped with everything from promoting new ships to major ship enhancement initiatives to hosting multi-day onboard trips for the media. Each of these also required crafting messages that speak directly to travelers’ emotions while highlighting the experience of the brand.
- Investor and Angel Funding
For a major organization in the angel funding space, I worked to raise awareness of investment opportunities, while also helping entrepreneurs fine-tune their marketing. In separate work, I also helped at least a dozen start-ups attract and promote new venture capital funding.
- IT Consulting
I’ve worked with IT consulting firms to promote their services, build brand authority, and drive client engagement through thought leadership, case studies, whitepapers, and expert blogs that showcased their technical prowess.
- Entertainment Hardware and Software
The entertainment hardware sector is all about innovation. My role was to help companies position themselves as trendsetters in the space, generating buzz through launch campaigns and media relations efforts that put their products in front of the right audiences.
- NCTA (National Cable & Telecommunications Association)
Working with the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), I helped drive awareness as they advocated for policy changes, technological innovation, and the future of broadband. This required a mix of public relations strategies, focusing on the intersection of technology and regulation.
- Other Tech Companies
In addition to the above, I’ve worked with a wide range of other tech companies of all sizes. The work involved a mix of brand development, messaging, websites, corporate communications, PR campaigns, media relations strategy and outreach, thought leadership, and digital content creation aimed at amplifying brand visibility and driving engagement. Regardless of size, these companies all wanted to tell a story that resonated with their audiences and set them apart from competitors.
No matter the industry or the size of the company, my approach to marketing communications and PR remains consistent: it’s all about driving business results. I’m excited about the future and look forward to helping even more clients navigate the evolving world of marketing. Let me know how I can help your company.
